About The Author
The author has been a widow since 2009. She created this blog to speak about her journey through the most difficult time of her life dealing with the lost of her husband whom she had spent almost half of her life with. Although not new to the grief process (having already lost other loved ones) , the loss of her husband was the most difficult to deal with and to understand.
After searching for ways others dealt with their losses, she could not find just the right fit for her. At 45 with two teenage children, she found herself too young or too old for most of the local grief support groups in her area. Next she then began to look for self-help books to help with her journey, many of these books were too long to read or too technical about the grieving process for someone actually going through it. Grief causes one’s concentration to be off and she needed practical advice to just make it through the normal days of her life in the easiest ways to understand possible. Because she was not able to find such a guide, she began to develop her own ways of coping with her situation. This blog has been written with others like her in mind. It discusses the steps she took as well as the insights she gained as a result of her loss. Her aim in this blog is to help others cope with grief and learn to live a full and happy life again.
